Lost in the Shuffle

Magic Texas will be hosting a special showing of the new Documentary "Lost In The Shuffle" as part of our convention.
For almost as long as there have been cards, there have been card tricks. First developed as a pastime in 9th century China, over the years these unassuming artifacts have been banned by churches, taken up by mystics and helped make or break the fortunes of countless gamblers. In the hands of a magician, however, they take on a life of their own; appearing and disappearing, reassembling themselves from torn pieces and maybe even taking flight.
Seen through the eyes of some of the world’s best sleight-of-hand artists, Lost in the Shuffle is a loving look at how playing cards have become synonymous with magic, and the mysteries hidden in their art.
